| Well, what can we say!!..First class!! everywhere we stay has to try and match up to the high standards that Robyn & Phil have set. From the moment we were picked up from the ferry terminal, we were not only taken to our accommodation, we were given a great tour of everything we should try to visit enroute to their beautiful home. Robyn's fantastic breakfasts, cakes and especially her cookies were more than a treat! resulting in us requesting the cookie recipe. Both Robyn & Phil were two of the nicest Aussies we have met on our travels: they are so friendly, knowledgeable and caring that we would loved to have stayed longer. It was our first proper chance to get up close and personal with the wildlife and we were not disappointed. Seeing kangaroos, rock wallabies, koalas, tree frogs and lorikeets and of course not forgetting Kitty ~ all in their natural habitat. Robyn & Phil definately deserve the number 1 spot on Tripadvisor for B&B's on Magnetic Island as they always go out of their way to make you feel at home and to enjoy your stay to the fullest. Thank you from Hayley & Suze. p.s. The mountain bikes are unforgettable! Aug.2011
Stayed 4 nights early July 2011. Having experienced many B&B's in the UK, we have to say that this is probably our No. 1. Here are just a few of the reasons: Magnetic Island is a beautiful place and this B&B is in a quiet location almost with a country feel. Robyn & Phil's hospitality cannot be beaten, decor is lovely and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The ambience is relaxed and friendly ~ you can linger outside over breakfast for as long as you want. Breakfasts are magnificent and set you up for the day. Loved Kitty the border collie and the chooks. You can take Kitty for a walk if you wish. Lorikeets to hand-feed before breakfast, a lovely flat 20min walk to the beach and a 7min walk to the bus service that is cheap to use. Back to Robyn & Phil ~ they will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. They would have to be the best hosts we have ever encountered. Margaret & Robert, Petrie, Qld (formerly UK)
"Robyn & Phil's Retreat" - The lucky ones who have stayed here before me say it all. So lovely to have been with a couple of generous spirits. Thank you for the feelings of "being at home and all the jobs are done." Verla, Como (W.A.)
To the best B&B Hostess I have ever come across . From the first moment our stay has been the best. Great food and great friends. Kitty the dog with be deeply missed. This is a must -do in Queensland. David (Santiago de Compostela, Spain)
Thanks for everything: the delicious brekkys, fantastic tour, lifts, cooking lesson, information and generally being wonderful company and hosts. Oh and the yummy birthday cake! Love, Emma x. (Aust)
Dear Robyn & Phil, Thank you for such a wonderful stay. Couldn't have asked for more. Room fabulous, food to die for, company, the best and all those finishing touches completed a wonderful visit. We will recommend you near and far and have already done so. Your Island is fantastic and all your suggestions - the mini tour on arrival, put us both in the right direction to make the most of this wonderful opportunity. Look after yourselves and will see you again. Linda & Bob (Isle of Wight, UK.) Getting around is easy with a regular bus service, taxis, hire cars and our complimentary bikes.
